The Nest at Ruth Farms Engagement
I am so excited to share Ashley and Scott's engagement session with you today! We got to spend the dat at The Nest at Ruth Farms and it is absolutely breathtaking! Big white barns and tall grassy fields make my heart pitter patter, and this location has BOTH!
Ashley and Scott met in March of 2017. Ashley and her roommate at the time were out for drinks on the square in Denton, when they ran into a group of her roommate's friends from high school.
After a little while, they all decided to go out dancing. That's when Ashley first noticed Scott. She nudged Krissy, her roommate, and told her know that she was "digging the bald guy." Krissy immediately started playing matchmaker, and Scott was talked into dance with Ashley. They talked for a little while, however, Scott let Ashley leave without asking her out on a date. It didn't take him long though - almost as soon as Krissy and Ashley made it home after their night out, Krissy's phone was ringing and Scott was asking Ashley out on a date. They went on our first date the very next night... and the rest is history!
Ashley knew that Scott was the one almost immediately. They are alike in so many ways, but what intrigued Ashley the most about Scott was his easy going personality, his innocence, his love for the outdoors, and best of all, his gentle & thoughtful heart.
Scott also knew that Ashley was the one, and he didn't waste any time proposing! Six months later, Scott was downstairs asking for her mom's approval. Sometimes when you know, you just know :) The next day, he picked a romantic spot in Houston to propose, and they celebrated their engagement with some of Ashley's closest family and friends. They have spent the last year together making memories, and will spend the rest of their lives making many more!
