Stonebridge Wedding Venue Engagement Session | Kira & Carter
I had so much fun at Kira & Carter's sunrise engagement Session! Fun fact: I am not a morning person. But when you are in Texas during the summer months, mornings are the best time for engagement sessions! Not only because of the beautiful golden sunrise, but also because it is the coolest part of the day.
Kira & Carter met through friends during their very first week of college! Carter was pretty shy, and Kira thought there was no way he would make a move! But, he got her number from a friend and asked her out on a date. They started dating, but after a few weeks, they decided that it was too early on in college to be in a serious relationship. They stayed friends, and the next summer they decided it was time to begin dating for real, and the rest is history!
For the past three years they had been going to Carter's aunt's farm house and property in Round Top for spring break. In March while they were there, they were fishing and Kira started giving Carter a hard time about not proposing (they had been together for 4 years, and she really thought it wasn't going to happen in the near future). "It's so beautiful, wouldn't this have been so nice of a time to get engaged?" She kept joking. After a few minutes, she noticed Carter wasn't responding, so she turned around, and there he was- on one knee! She was so shocked that all she could manage to say was, "What...?" And he said, "Kira, will you marry me?" Of course she said yes!
These two decided to do their engagement session at Stonebridge Wedding Venue which is where they are getting married in October. I am so excited to come back to this beautiful venue in a few short (cooler) months!
