Dallas Sunset Engagement Session | Maddie Mae & Thomas
Maddie Mae & Thomas started off strong with about a 30 minute conversation in the cafeteria during their Freshman year of high school. They walked away with no information about each other - not even each other's names! About a year later, they both recognized each other as “that person I met a year ago and didn’t even get their name.” This time they made sure to exchange information. From then on, they hung out outside of the band hall when Thomas was done with football practice. Since Maddie Mae didn’t get her driver’s license until she was 18, Thomas offered to drive her home, and to school, and lunch, and really everywhere. It started off slow, then kept growing and growing. Soon they both graduated high school and had to endure the painful process of a long-distance relationship while Maddie Mae was in Arkansas and Thomas was in Florida. However, every time they saw each other again, it was like nothing ever changed. They were still two people that fell in love.
After being together for over 5 years, Thomas decided that he wanted to hold on to Maddie Mae for the rest of his life. He took her to Flagpole Hill - a park that shows a view of the city that they grew up in and fell in love together. It was December 22nd, and it was raining. However, he wrote Maddie Mae letters of their time together and how special it was to him. As the first word of each page, he wrote "Will", then "You", and "Marry" and "Me" and at the end he had her read it all out loud. Then he got one knee all wet in the grass and proposed to the love of his life.
Maddie Mae & Thomas - I am SO excited for your wedding in December! I cannot wait to see you two tie the knot!
