Southlake Engagement Session | Melanie & Clark
Melanie and Clark are amazing. The second we walked into the field that we were planning on taking photos in, hundreds of mosquitos flew up out of the grass and were flying around everywhere! I don't think I have ever seen so many in my entire life! We doused ourselves in bug spray and began the session. They went through their entire engagement session and you can't even tell that we were all being bitten the entire time! Despite the fact that we emptied a new bottle of bug spray onto ourselves. I am so excited for their wedding next October. Only 366 more days to go! :)
HOW THEY MET
"Clark and I met our junior year at the University of Arkansas through mutual friends. The night we met we were all going out to the bars on Dickson Street, and my best friend had invited Clark and his friend over to my house to meet before we all went out. We all had a great time out together but didn't think too much about it. The next morning I realized he had left something at my house so I messaged him on twitter and it ended in him asking me to dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant! We have since been inseparable now for 3 1/2 years!"
PROPOSAL STORY
"This past July, we had planned a trip to Pensacola Beach, Florida. It just so happened that his best friend and his wife, and another one of his hometown friends would be in Destin the same week as us so we had planned to do a dinner with them one night. We met up that day to grab brunch and hang on the beach. After a full day of hanging out, we all went back to the condo to get ready for a nice dinner. The five of us headed to the beach to take nice photos on the beach with the sunset in the background (because he knows how I love to get a good one for the Instagram). While we were getting our pictures taken, he turned me around to him and got down on one knee. I was in super shock mode because I always told him I would be able to guess when he would do it. He got me good!!"
